Southford Falls State Park is an unassuming park, with a small, simple entry sign, a small parking lot, no amenities or facilities to speak of, but incredible natural beauty.

Follow the trails along the creek to the various falls and rapids, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of nature along the way.

"Sights, Sounds and Smells" Sinay says:
While the park is conveniently located just off a major highway and free of charge, it seems to be relatively unknown and uncrowded. Let's keep it that way 🤫😉

Beautiful place. Lots of easy trails. Also a lookout tower, which I have not been too. Great place for a family picnic, wedding photos and hiking

I was able to revisit this park yesterday and was disappointed of the way they letting it die. Lots of trees blocking the pharaoh to the red track. The once very nice wooden path it’s broken and I save to walk on. Just not what it was just last year when I visited. Still a good almost two miles hikes and gorgeous nature. But watch out for ticks as well if bringing pets.

It took me and my wife about two hours to complete the red trail loop, some areas were rather difficult to pass through but we were able to make it through, we really liked the waterfalls and the covered bridge, I would definitely recommend this park as a great place to visit. Please note that the port a potty’s were very disgusting and disappointing to see them like that.

My husband and I had a great time here. Parking is in a dirt lot on the side of the road - no actual designated spots. The waterfall is a few steps away. It's well shaded. There was a decent breeze today, which helped with the summer warmth. The covered bridge was cute. The trail ended at the boardwalk, which is in disarray. I was reading from others that it's been like that for a few years now. The boardwalk is a danger to those wanting to try going on it and is the only reason for the loss of a star for the rating. The pavilion next to the lake is also in disarray as you can see holes in the roof and the insulation on the side panels. Otherwise the hike around the rest of the park was quite beautiful
