Went In the store bought bait for me and my fiancé showed me how to rig up a line and took his time and showed me then my fiancé came in and he helped him as well. Great guy that works there would definitely recommend if you’re new to fishing or need a hand. This was the guy in his 40’s seems like a respectable guy and because of this experience me and my fiancé will be coming here for bait and fishing now on!
Captree bait and tackle is legit the best placed bait shop on Long Island , it’s right next to the Captree fleet, customer service is amazing. I’ve been going for years me and my family . We walk in and we’re welcomed with open arms , very respectful workers , owner is outstanding . Best prices around .
Really nice little shop with cool stuff and fair prices. The staff is super helpful, friendly, and great with kids. Always find something new when we stop in!

Cute shop, wouldn't recommend for women.
Walked in behind one of the employees, seemed like a manager, 40s(?) man and he must not have realized I entered the store because he immediately started talking about the butt of a woman outside, how tight her denim shorts were, etc. In pretty crude language.
He shared this with the cashier, a woman maybe half his age?
Anyway, wouldn't feel comfortable going back knowing the blatant and gross sexualization that happens when he thinks customers aren't around.
Disappointing because theres some good stuff here, and the location is great.
