I just got this summer's fresh regular avakaaya delivered to me. I ate it with plain pappu and ghee. It reminded me of the pickle my mother used to make when I was growing up which included methi seeds as well as whole kaala chana in there, exactly like I was used to having it. It was not too spicy with just the right amount of spicyness (not bland at all) with a right balance of aava pindi, sesame oil, tartness from the mangoes and salt. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a taste of authentic, kottha avakaaya!

I get their pickles shipped to me every month and every item is incredibly delicious. My personal favorite is Gongura pacchadi with garlic, but everything else is delicious too. Definitely home made and well packaged.

I went to their location in-person to pick up the pickles. The owner has a wide variety of pickles and powders up in their garage, neatly packaged and labeled, that you are spoilt for choice! I bought 3 pickles, korivikharam, chintakaya (as per owner's recommendation) and gongura. Chintakaya was the best of the 3 but the other two were pretty good as well. Packaging was double layered and I was able to transfer contents into a jar easily without waste. Can't wait to try more!

Tasty fresh and transports you back home to India. Velaga (wood apple) pachadi is one of my favorites and I love the pulihora mix which is thought fully packaged with separate wet and dry ingredients for maximum freshness and tastes just like temple prasadam when mixed with rice! Other favs include any avakaya, thokku pachadi, chintakaya and gongura. When in doubt, get 'em all !!
