Came her on a Sunday for brunch after a church retreat, my friend found it. It's quaint with a bar and nice decor. And it's Haitian owned. Also it's Byob. Nice staff but our young waitress needs more training.
My friend spoke to the owner as we waited to be seated who was very nice. We sat and i posted the salmon and grits, my friend had the shrimp n grits. I Also ordered the pumpkin spice pancake with amaretto sauce.
Pumpking spice pancake was good didn't really taste like pumpkin and the sauce I couldn't tell what flavor it was. But I like how I could order a single pancake as opposed to a stack. The pancake was also cooked well.
The salmon n grits was good; grits a li'l too runny and salmon a small portion. I liked that it was covered in sauce because, I love a lot of sauce on my food. Everything was cooked well; no overwhelming spices-more amercanized.
My friend liked her Shrimp n grits but didn't like it so runny. The shrimp was good. She wanted to try the catfish but it ran out. She also had the Ameretto brioche French toast and that was good.
All in all good experience I wiggly reccomend it for brunch. The dj was good.
This is going to become one of my favorite places. The food was absolutely delicious. The menu had many options and you know a place is great and the coffee is delicious. I had the lobster And cheese grits and my husband had the salmon and grits and both were absolutely delicious. I’ll be back soon.
Outstanding, the food is Very good. Everything is so fresh and Tasteful. You must go back. Everything on the menu is excellent. The cafe is cozy, always nice music in the background. The environment is so friendly. Duke and his staff welcome everyone with a smile, and service is wonderful. The shrimp and grits will have you running back for brunch.
A Taste of Culture at Estime Place
Estime Place is a charming, cozy spot for breakfast and lunch that truly transports you with its cultural ambiance. It's a small place, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in character and warmth.
Overall, our experience was great. We started with the lemon ricotta pancakes, and they were absolutely amazing—a must-try! We also ordered the Lobster Grit and the Estime omelette. The Lobster Grit, while a bit of a splurge at $42 (it was a special, and we didn't see the price beforehand), was incredibly delicious.
Beyond the food, Estime Place also serves up really good coffee, and the staff is incredibly nice. They checked on our table three times, ensuring everything was to our liking.
Estime Place is definitely a nice place to try if you're looking for delicious food, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Small Suggestion: The pink salt needs be in a different container or add rice to it because it doesnt come out in summers due to moisture.
OMG, such a hidden gem! I wanted to have brunch today to celebrate my mom's heavenly birthday. I wanted good food, good atmosphere, and an intimate atmosphere. Estime's exceeded my first time experience! Also, they're a BYOB!
The service was professional, polite, and timely.
I was disappointed that they didn't have the Haitian Salted Cod (Mori). So I ordered the Lamb Chops with eggs and home fries. Very flavorful and delicious.
We also ordered a traditional breakfast: bacon, eggs, home fries. Delicious!
They let me know that they only serve dinner & desserts on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, that menu is limited. I will be back for dinner.
