Dr. Wasserman is a very passionate caring doctor … explains exactly your concerns…Dr. Wasserman has been my doctor for over 8 years.. I highly recommend him.
My mother was in Jersey Shore Hospital for ten days. She did not have a hematologist at the time. We were very thankful to have Dr Wasserman to have been called in as a consult. He was kind and patient to my mother's needs. The f/u at the office was the same from the front desk to Dr Wasserman. I would recommend this practice!
Patient Testimonial: Grateful for Dr. Ethan Wasserman’s Exceptional Care
Several years ago, I was hospitalized due to an internal bleed caused by blood thinners. My hemoglobin level had dropped dangerously low to 7 (with the normal range being 13–17). Another drop could have resulted in a stroke—or worse. The immediate priority was a blood transfusion to stabilize my levels, followed by extensive tests to identify the cause of the bleeding.
Multiple doctors came in, and most feared the worst—suggesting that cancer might be the culprit. As you can imagine, I was terrified. Then, Dr. Ethan Wasserman walked in.
Unlike the others, Dr. Wasserman was calm, confident, and reassuring. He told me, “I went over your blood work, and you do not have cancer.” Just hearing those words, spoken with such conviction, was a turning point for me emotionally. He suspected a bleed somewhere in my GI tract, likely worsened by the blood thinners, and recommended I see a gastroenterologist.
He was right. A hidden bleed high up in my colon was found and successfully cauterized.
Afterward, I followed up with Dr. Wasserman. He did additional blood work and discovered I was severely anemic—another cause of my low hemoglobin levels. He prescribed 63 mg of iron supplements once a day and monitored my progress through regular testing. Slowly but steadily, my hemoglobin levels rose until I returned to a healthy 13. Ever since then, my blood work has remained normal, and I’ve felt better than I have in years.
Now, seven years later, I can say this with complete confidence: Dr. Wasserman is an outstanding physician. He’s easy to talk to, genuinely listens, never rushes appointments, and always explains your health clearly. He has a calming presence and a positive outlook that truly puts you at ease.
Thanks to Dr. Wasserman, I received the right diagnosis, the right treatment, and long-term care that has kept me healthy. I am deeply grateful. Rich McNally
Dr. Wasserman takes the time to listens to what you are telling him. Then he answers in ways you can understand. He is very compassionate and wants the best for his patients. I have gone to other hematologists before and he is the best doctor I have been to. I will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend him and the RCCA practice.
Dr. Wasserman is an outstanding physician with top-notch diagnostic skills and a truly professional approach. What sets him apart is not just his medical expertise, but his humility and genuine empathy. He takes the time to listen, explain, and support his patients with kindness and care. His positive attitude and calming presence made a real difference in my recovery. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Wasserman to anyone. Physicians of his caliber who are also so approachable and grounded are extremely rare.
