What a FABULOUS dining experience. The menu was very creative and there were so many temping options to choose from!

Every bite was delicious and every dish impeccably composed— from the apps, to the mains, and the dessert— one of the finest options in NJ!

Service was also delightful from the moment we walked in. We were welcomed, never felt rushed, and were attended to perfectly.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Try it for yourself! WOW.

I was told to expect a wonderful meal but was blown away by the taste and presentation of food, warmth of the staff and remarkable experience overall that we enjoyed at F1rst this past Labor Day weekend. Our party of five enjoyed our appetizers...most notably the grilled octopus which we believed to be the best we've ever had. We each ordered a different entree, trying as many of the marvelous dishes as we could manage. Everything was tasty...the bolognese and steak frites were the standouts. Truffle fries, brussel sprouts and whipped potatoes were perfect accompaniments. We had to try desserts, which required taking parts of our entrees home which we fought over the next day. The mounds bar was almost too pretty to eat and, by this point in the meal, it was no surprise it tasted even better than it looked. Chef Adam outdid himself the evening we visited and is as consistent as he is creative. Thanks for a great evening centered around an unforgettable meal...we'll definitely be back!

Menu is filled with tempting choices and special are really special. Each dish is accompanied by side dishes to enhance the main course. We selected all our dishes from special menu. All desserts are made by the chef and worth a trip just for a sweet treat. Our server Vincent was excellent and the whole serving team worked in tandem. The restaurant has a very vibrant feel. Acoustics could be improved so you can appreciate the wonders of the chef.

Absolutely love F1rst!! I have been here four times in the last few months and have always been delighted with the food and service.

Sometimes it’s an attention to details that
brings a restaurant to the next level. Upon entering you are warmly greeted by the chefs mom, you are then seated at an impeccably arranged table, the waitress which we always seem to get the same one is spot on, then the food! I just cannot say enough!

TOP NOTCH! "First" is a true fine dining in Hawthorne. Elegant and friendly, not a dash of pretentiousness. The Chef is a true Artist with a strong vision: Food there is delicious, inspiring, made with the utmost respect to the craft and to the guests. We've been there few times, always looking forward to go back.

Yesterday went there for our anniversary dinner, had Parisienne Gnocchi (see my pic) for appetizer - amazing! For my entre I got Pan Roasted Chicken breast "Marsala", sautéed with mushrooms, and truffle butter mashed potatoes with spinach (see my pic) - incredible! My spouse got Five Spice Roasted Pekin-G Duck (see the pic) - i tried a piece: OMG! I have never tried a more amazing duck dish!
On top of that, the place is very clean, you get the warmest greetings from the adorable hostess; the entire team is respectful and very warm. Food is sublime, above and beyond any compliments - I can't repeat that enough.
