Fortune Garden

been going here all my life and adore this restaurant and the family! they’re so kind and the food is so amazing; real american chinese comfort food (their fries are the hidden green, trust me it’s got all the wok flavor). they’re super underrated but very appreciated by those who know this place’s worth and how it’s grown to be part of the community for decades now.

I have lived in Lawrenceville for about 8 years. I have never gone to Fortune Garden. I decided to try and was so glad I did. Fortune Garden is a small place and a take out only restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food tasted. The Sesame Chicken, Pan fried Dumplings and Fried Rice was very good . I look forward to going again and trying more options. I am sorry it took so long for me to try Fortune Garden. I also want to say the woman at the front counter was extremely pleasant. Great Customer Service to all the customers that came and went

I needed a Chinese food place since I'm in area , I got the combination General Tso's comes with egg roll and I got fried dumplings . I have to say it was the best one I've had in a long time. Spicy just right spicy,
i drank some beer with it to cool it down lol . Hope they keep the food this way and I'll be a repeat customer

This is not a dine in restaurant. This is a hole in the wall place and it is a gem! There is one table with four chairs on your left and three "waiting" chairs on your right. No bathroom. I went on a Friday after stopping at two taco places that were closed. I walked in and saw three men who worked construction. I knew immediately the servings would be big.
I went on a Friday and ordered my safest go to: chicken with broccoli and white rice. This was during lunch hour and their special includes your choice of white or fried rice PLUS an option of soup OR soda OR egg roll. I chose the wonton soup. The food was so good! The chicken was tender, the broccoli was crisp, the rice nice and fluffy, and the sauce was...perfect. The dish had just the right amount of sauce to mix with the rice. The broccoli to chicken ratio was spot on, not too much chicken, not too much broccoli. I cannot give the honest opinion of the soup because it's still sitting in my fridge. I ate half that dish at noon and I was full until 6PM!
I love it so much I went there again this Monday! I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce and white rice plus an egg roll. The egg roll was dryer than I'm used to, but somehow I liked it better like that. The serving was humongous again and the food steaming hot, fresh, and delicious. You can't beat the price for the lunch specials either!!!
