Quick mass on Sundays
Church trebled in size 2012 by McCerk architects,Washington DC. Original 1880s clapboard Street front retained,and its Gothic Revival style used for new church.But interior is Classical,inspired by Brunelleschi's Sto Spirito,Florence. Stained,glass,brought from St Francis,Germantown,Philidelphia.
Beautiful parish, from the architecture to the people. I always enjoy coming here. The renovation is gorgeous. Its a blessed parish. The windows are stunning and come from a closed parish (in Philly I believe).
My husband thought his father’s funeral service was very nice, but the priest appeared to read a prepared speech vs talk about his father as a person.
I find father Manning's sermons very exceptional and encouraging...I love when he makes funny comments and gets all his of congregants to laugh on Sunday's and daily masses...Father Bill and Father McGowan are wonderful too....and I must say Miss Susan Singleton takes very good care of our parish and us parishioners...I am blessed to be part a community that is faith driven and caring....Blessed be God forever.....
