Nice lunch stop with household supplies and stuff. Nice friendly staff. Good sandwich menu
The owners are super sweet. They accommodated me the night before a party and really saved the day. The subs were absolutely delicious and everything was fresh! Would definitely order again. Thank you!
I gotta say, this is one of the few things(place in this case) that makes refreshing sense to me.
As a routine “quick mart shop” should and once did.
Once upon a time…..not long ago, this was the norm. A usually quick, mostly mundane experience, that one could normally do firing on one cylinder and requiring only a few simplified tasks to accomplish.
A daily task that was almost never accompanied by that feeling of dread and confusion that is the bummer reality of whatever “norm” is these days.
After the “Covid”….. and its reversal of human evolution apparently.
This broken nonsensical social butchering that’s ensued in its tidal wake is truly vexing. (In my experience anyway).
But that’s not the case here!
Here, we have well speaking and non-brain dead staff. They remember a face and general character.. or at least seem to, when you revisit.
Very polite and from what I have seen, honest. A true rarity these days. It’s refreshing and a welcomed surprise every time I stop in.
Then there is the food. They do not disappoint in this area either. Quite the opposite in fact.
Add to that the fair prices and rad little “supplies” not commonly found in corporate dumpster vomit dwellings… and I start to feel like it’s 1998 again!!
….Leaving me wanting to rent a cot in the back.
I’m calm when here. Lacking that all too common “feeling” I feel so commonly in this matrix version gone dumb.
The feeling I speak of is one of being mildly confused when I shouldn’t be…. That feeling of being annoyed to the point of needing a Xanax… that it shouldn’t be….
The Xanax is for the inevitable show that was I elsewhere, is usually about to start.
But not here!
Unlike this place, that show is one wherein I feel as if I am living out the script of “Tale of the Body Snatchers” or the “Twilight Zone”. It’s gotten old and I am starting to feel like my brain is being given an old fashioned “Indian Burn” daily. Leaving my brain twisted and recovering inside my melon.
So yeah, 5 Stars!!!
I am old fashioned. I like things to make sense and people to be polite.
That you will get at the Hometown Deli.
After reading the reviews about the PEC had to get one. Didn’t disappoint, of course you have to get the hash brown on the sandwich.
Two guys working in here are very friendly, they knew almost every person by name walking into the store.
This place isn’t fancy, but it’s highly price competitive and has everything you need from a convenience store.
The FOOD is DELICIOUS! The staff are exceptional. You honestly feel like family walking through the doors and really feel like you're in your hometown. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
