The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. The establishment is very welcoming and friend. The selection is broad and love to try something new each time. The staff and owners are very informed and helpful discovering new varieties. The delivery service is different and helpful when needed. Love visiting and trying something new everytime!

Hopewell House is in a charming, historic building in Hopewell Borough. The staff is friendly. The selection is good. Because the space is smaller than chain liquor stores, they cannot carry as much variety, but the staff will quickly order and stock customer requests.

I am a local and started becoming a regular here during the pandemic. Before then I almost never shopped here. I understood for the convenience that I'd pay a bit of a premium over discount places. I was okay with that because the prices were not unreasonable and I liked how it was operated by the same friendly people. Today I went in and grabbed a bottle of bourbon which was not on the shelf without a price. They started to ring me up and to my shock it was $49.99 (with tax) for a $29.99 (retail before tax) bottle. Yes, this is a bottle that does get a premium over retail but 66% over retail is unacceptable. At the new place down the road I was getting the same for just 20% over retail and it was regularly available. Here's a tip, reward regulars with access to the special stock but never charge an absurd premium, especially without having it having a clearly marked price.

I have hundreds of reviews and it really takes a lot to get something below 4 stars with me.

The only place in town for Hopewell Borough. Decent selection of wine and liquor. Beer selection is mediocre, and about 30% is not refrigerated, which stinks.
