Met Food Middle Village

Sometimes a little pricey but they usually have good sales if you look for them. Great cold cuts and meat section. Friendly staff and clean. Always enough cashiers to get you out the door with no waiting.

Normally, I find the store pleasurable to shop. Today, the vegetable bags were only at one end of the produce, so I had to walk down to get bags. Several times as I bought multiple items and didn't want to take too many bags. The girl at the checkout seemed annoyed by our presence. She did not help bag at all and was doing her nails when we came up. I'm not sure if this was an off night, as this is not my previous experience. Update 5/5/25 - The produce was better but the bananas were too green to buy. The register girl was still more interested in chatting her coworkers up than giving us attention. I guess thats what you get with high schoolers.

I love their deli counter and all the selections there. There are also bakery items that I don't find elsewhere. Some items are more expensive here than in other area supermarkets, but that deli counter is much better than most. Produce is usually very good.

I love shopping at this store! I love your chicken salad and the house made roast beef. Never almost raw in the middle like some places. It’s always nicely cooked- rare in the middle and more done toward the end. Great for everyone! So good! I had a wonderful experience a couple of weeks ago, I dropped my credit card and I realized it when I was about to checkout. Thank goodness I had another one. But while I brought my food out to the car, the cashier found my card and gave it to the manager. She saw me come back in to look and she told me my card was in the office. She was lovely. I wish I could remember her name.
If I could ask something- It would be great if you guys could stock some grass fed beef and some healthier low sugar and high fiber cereals without having to shop in two places.
Anyway, great neighborhood store!!
