It’s been 7mo since I started with Dylan and now I’m recommending him to anyone who wants to feel comfortable in their bodies again — ESPECIALLY to athletes who are either aspiring to take their games to higher heights, or anyone looking to become an athlete.

I’m a collegiate golfer turned golf instructor and when I got my itch to play and compete again, I knew the first thing I needed to do was get my body back. I’m an exercise science major and I always thought I knew enough to train myself but with all the uneven strain I had been putting on my body, I was getting stiff and injured anytime I started to load my body. For someone who is technically a professional athlete, I knew that my athleticism wasn’t quite where it should be. I felt slow on my feet, and I knew I had more power in me than I was producing. At 27y/o I shouldn’t be scared to blow out my back when I exercise. So I searched up sports trainers and found Dylan.

Dylan is extremely knowledgeable, and once I communicated my goals, he tested me to get some baselines and metrics, and proposed a plan to help me achieve my goals. He talked about how my power output was pretty efficient relative to the strength I had, and the first steps were to build overall strength first, then to focus on power. He gave me realistic timelines and focus plans.

As we worked on strength building, his cues made me aware of my body’s biases and tendencies which lead to power leaks. Dylan tests every 6wks or so to track progress which gives us the opportunity to see if we need to make any adjustments to our plan. Unlike arbitrary training programs, we were always training the athlete in front of us rather than relying on a menu created 2mo ago.

    *RESULTS SO FAR*
    7% increase in a mid-thigh pull
30% increase in max jump height
19% increase in my efficiency in jump height
As for weights, I started deconditioned and weaker than I was in college and am now moving more weight than I ever have with every exercise. Best part is being injury free all the while.

The fact that we have these measured improvements give me a sense of agency and ownership over my progress.

    *BONUS*
Dylan is a wizard with his rehab and if there are any stiffnesses, tingling, any pain at all I get to bring it up to him and he’ll be able to address it right then and there. He often has to remind me that bodies aren’t fragile, and with his support and rehabilitation, I’m able to trust that and push myself much further than I ever trusted myself to do alone.

Dylan trains me holistically as a person first, and is always conscientious of my travel schedules, tournament schedule, work load, and even mental fatigue. We fully operate as a team and that personal care is hard to come by, and it shows in my progress over the season. I feel lucky to have found him when I did.

I’ve also started bringing my aging parents to combat the inevitable deconditioning that comes with age. Dylan was able to create a fun and sustainable routine that makes them motivated to keep coming back (and with my stubborn parents, this was huge). I already see their weekly sessions are getting them moving around easier. Everyone’s ultimate goal is to be healthy and active for longer, which is why I think everyone needs someone like Dylan on their team if they don’t already.

I have been working closely with Dylan for about 2 months with a groin injury. He has put a great program together for me that requires me to come in twice a week and exercises on my own at home as well. They have definitely helped as my I am feeling the best I have felt since the injury occurred. I was doing sport specific movements that correlate with being a soccer goalkeeper. Now I am going back to college for preseason and I am feeling confident and ready to compete.

Dylan and his staff have done an amazing job helping me recover throughout the summer with an hamstring strain. From the equipment to the conversations, it is all a professional and unique experience that you can’t get in most places. With the background and experience Dylan has you will be in good hands for whatever you need help with!

Absolutely a 10/10 in every aspect, especially for someone who’s currently serving. They offer one-on-one PT sessions that truly captures the meaning of complete recovery; not just the rehabilitation progression but improvement in areas I struggle. Dylan was incredible; he communicates to you as a person not another patient. I will definitely come back if ever injured.

I've had an excellent experience with Dylan and his very capable team. With their state-of-the-art equipment and know-how, IAT was able to provide me a lot of information to help me understand my strengths and weaknesses and help build a plan to optimize my training. It was also great to utilize some of his recovery gear that he has available to use at the facility.
