Very friendly people, the spirit is in the building & soul food is on the menu, food for your soul & spiritual well-being
Many tears & sorrow for what our ancestors endured in this nation. We read headstones & cried for the inhumane treatment of human beings. They have made great contributions to society. Even in despair, they soared & we soared as a natio! This is something every human should view. I felt their souls speak from the grave. I left encouraged. Still ,as a first time for me. I hope others will walk through & read the markets, see the church & learn.
Jacobs Chapel AME Church is a National treasure! ThIs Sacred place holds generations and generations of African American history ... and still ministers to the community today!
