Great place, used to always go to the salon and have my hair cut by Gerson (best stylist in my opinion) but rates seem to keep going up and both places seem to keep getting busier. Have been trying to make an appointment for the past few days but can’t seem to find a time that works with my schedule. Always happy with the cuts I get here and at the salon though, just wish they were a little cheaper can’t afford a $50+ cut every few weeks.

Roy is the man. If you want an excellent beard shape up look no further. He takes his time and makes it perfect. Charlie the receptionist is a great asset. She is well mannered and makes conversation. She truly is a sweetheart.

First time visiting J Walker and the experience was great! My stylist, Julz, was outstanding. She offered suggestions when i needed some, as well as listened to my thoughts and seemlessly meshed the two. She is a great addition to the salon and i look forward to my next visit!

First time there was ok.

Second time there was horrible. First thing I said was I’m growing my hair out and want to keep it long. He acknowledges but took off a lot on his first cut. I reminded him I wanted to keep it long and he replies “Ok, Ok”. Then proceeds to cut my hair short! As if he did even hear me. Halfway through the cut he asks me if I want to go shorter! Oblivious to my request.

He rushed through my haircut in 10 minutes. My back was uneven and there was no detail at all to my back line. Then ushered me to the front to pay. My appt was $40 for cut and shampoo and when I asked the front about the shampoo, I was told, “oh you want it? You can have it if you want”. Completely terrible experience. I will not be back and do not recommend this place.
