I had a great experience doing my open water and Nitrox certifications with Lakeland Divers. Al and Marlene are very knowledgeable and patient to explain and show everything. I always felt safe and in good hands. Looking forward to expand my scuba training with them. They also run a store and have the option to test the equipment in a pool, maintance equipment and offer dive trips. I highly recommend to give them a call or stop by at their shop.
Just completed my scuba refresher course. The owners and instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient and kind. The prices for both the equipment and the training is reasonable. It is great to support a local dive shop. I know they will have my family's business for a long time.
Recently certified for open water and Nitrox. The staff that run the shop (Al and Marlene) are great people, and extremely knowledgeable. All classes and dives are a great experience - Al is an extremely experienced NAUI instructor and a great teacher, and he has an awesome team of dive masters and DMCs. If you want to learn to dive correctly with a team that truly cares about your safety, Lakeland is your spot.
This is my third year diving with Lakeland and I am very grateful to have received my Open Water, Rescue Diving and Nitrox Certifications from Al and Marlene. These guys are super knowledgeable and Al has a fantastic teaching style that emphasizes repetitive practice and skill mastery. Looking forward to continuing my education here for years to come.
Lakeland Divers is a great place to learn how to dive. Al, the owner, is a no-nonsense instructor who will keep you safe under water. I just completed my NAUI basic certification, and I feel that I got a great education. The store is well stocked, and the prices are very fair (checked on Amazon). One of the questions on the NAUI exam is “the most important thing when buying equipment is??? The answer is fit. You will be properly fitted for your equipment. Believe me when you are trying to clear your mask underwater the fit makes a BIG DIFFERENCE. If you are going on vacation to a tropical resort and want to dive to get closer to the action, I highly recommend Lakeland Divers for your dive training. You can take a resort course. It will only allow you to dive for that vacation and they probably won’t teach you much. (worthless). If you are going to dive, you should know know how to do it safely and have fun. Al will teach you that.
