We did the Nee Years Eve menus and it was quite good. The lobster bisque was really good along with the Sea Bass entree. The filet was good as well , not great , but good.
Both desserts were really good and the service was outstanding..
Located in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Princeton. We were there for a surprise birthday party at the comedy club, A Rising Star within the Hotel. Food from Laurea was served during the show.
First and foremost, the staff was wonderful for our service. But when it came to the food my brothers and I were left with the impression the chef who curated the menu had dropped the ball. We all ordered pasta, all felt like they lacked flavor and soul from a bowl from a great Italian restaurant. The rigatoni was so far below the bar my brother couldn’t finish his meal, from the sauce to the sausage, it was lacking of flavor. While as harsh as my criticism is for the meal the staff kindly understand the situation and waived it off the bill. Im hoping the chef will take some time to review the menu and overall the pasta section. I would like a strong reason to return but with the current menu I feel like i will be disappointed again.
Stayed at the Hyatt, came down from breakfast. The breakfast buffet is the breakfast buffet, and the menu is the menu. No one came to attend to us after we got in, so we had to grab a few extra sets of utensils missing from our table ourselves and sat for a long time before someone asked if we were getting the buffet.
No mention of the breakfast menu (and no signage either), so it was only after the majority of the people at the table got their food did I realize that the waitress to the table next to us was taking orders for breakfast, so I asked her after she was done if I could order something. Yes, I did end up with an omelet that was a great start to my day, but I also ended up with a bill for both my omelet (over twenty dollars!) and also the buffet.
There were only four of us at the table, and this breakfast had a bill of almost a hundred dollars. Was the food good? Yeah. Was the resulting receipt horrifying? Yeah...
That being said, it's pretty tasty food if you go by hotel standards.
We’ve been here twice now and had a great experience both times. The food is delicious (homemade pasta is a must) and reasonably priced for what you’re getting. My fiancé and I agreed Christine was hands down the best server we’ve ever had. She was so knowledgeable, personable and fantastic about his nut allergy. Can’t wait to come back!
