The Tailored Closet of Central New Jersey

Tom Columbia from The Tailored Closet worked with me to design two closets for my clients master bedroom. From our first meeting to picking out finishes & hardware to the review of the 3-D drawings of the individual designs he was beyond helpful and professional throughout. The finished closets look beautiful and I am grateful to Tom for his amazing service and I would highly recommend them.

Prior to selecting The Tailored Closet, I consulted several well-known companies for designs and estimates. My experience changed when I met Tom, who provided invaluable advice and expertly designed my closet. His professionalism and pleasant demeanor made the decision easy. Additionally, he lent us heavy-duty clothing racks, a unique service not offered by others, which simplified the process. Tom worked diligently within my budget while maintaining a high-end approach. Both Tom and Connor exceeded my expectations by replacing my light fixture and assisting with cabinet removal. The entire process, from design to installation, was completed in just two weeks, with the closet finished in a single day. I am thrilled with the result and would definitely consider them for future projects.

Tom and his team were punctual, organized, clean, and their craftmanship was top-notch! As a designer I need clear communication and detailed information, I had no questions or doubts moving forward with this team and I'm so happy I did! My client was very pleased!

This is our second time with Tailored Living. Tom Columbia co-designed (with my wife) her built to purpose craft room which is fabulous. My wife is in it so much that she sometimes doesn't notice me slipping out for a round of golf. This time, Tom designed, built and installed custom his and hers closets for our "downstairs-ing" project of adding a first floor master to our colonial home. As expected, Tom and his team got it perfect. Very efficient use of the available space and materials that went perfectly with a custom overall project. Our very picky GC for the addition was impressed and that's hard to do!

Great results are of course a key part of any review/recommendation. But working with Tom is interesting, fun and even funny. He is an upbeat guy with a great sense of humor. Interaction with him is natural and easy and he listens very well. As a result, he designed our closets for how we would be dressing in retirement and how that changes our space needs for more casual attire. For example, my closet has a "golf section" that is perfect as I hack away in retirement.

I highly recommend Tailored Closet of Central NJ. They met and exceeded the high standards of my wife and I. The best evidence of that is we came back to them for a second project. That demonstrates more than all of my blather.
