Linden Public Works Department

On two separate occasions I had to reach out to the Linden Public Works Department for two separate things both times I had such a great experience. Very kind and efficient! On one occasion my neighbor decided to park right in front of my garbage bin so it was accidentally missed on the rounds and when I called to see if they could come back they came back right away. I can only imagine how busy they are and they made time to come back I really appreciate all you guys do. More recently I had to schedule a bulk pick up and they came within the same week! This is a great team of hard workers and I appreciate them.

We had an issue with the sewerage in my area , called DPW, the team were very cooperative and came and inspect the issue , seems some major pipe were destroyed and the line was blocked and work were needed to be done asap. They quickly got the contractor to fix the sewerage issue within a day! Great work from the team and shout out to the guys that came each of the previous day and clean the man hole while they resolved the issue. Very professional. Charlie even called me today to make sure everything was working fine in house.

Watched the street sweeper go through my street. The rotating brush just about contacted the road surface. Sweeper was almost 2’ away from the curb which didn’t pick up any debris that was lying there. They need to pay more attention to detail when doing this. When we go through the trouble of moving our vehicles on the designated days, the job should be done right. Many people have received summonses and paid for failing to move on those days and thats why I posted out of concern. Its a great town eith good people , but more pride and attention to detail needs to be taken.

I was a resident of linden for 20 years. DPW always gets a bad wrap. I had good experience's with them my whole time I lived there. I recently sold my home and they came and got all the junk I had to throw away. to the gentleman who answers the phone you could be a little nicer to the people who call. it was getting later we had a closing and all I wanted to know was the truck still going to be there on the day scheduled. no need to be nasty. other than that thank you
