I visited Luxi Nails 2 in December for the first time. The ambiance is very cozy and beautiful with soothing music in the background. The service was very good, polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Heerah did cat eye nails for me and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend.

I’ve generally had good experiences here, but my recent gel chrome manicure was disappointing. It was redone once, still applied very uneven and inconsistent , and the worst thing is that it began chipping within 3 days(attached pics) which is why i wanted to write down this review. Also, I was told not to get chrome done here going forward. The owner was kind and apologetic, but the outcome was still frustrating.

Did a gel polish manicure and the lady that did it made sure she was getting my cuticles cleaned up nicely. Although it was a simple service, it was done correctly.

I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel like I need to share my experience with others.

I gave them two stars instead of 1, because everyone at the salon is really nice, I enjoy their pedicure and the salon is very clean.

Now the reason they got 2 stars instead of 5 is because of their gel manicure. I went in for a gel manicure before one of my vacations and it only lasted 5 days before beginning to chip. I thought okay, maybe this is a flute because a gel manicure usually lasts at least two weeks.

I gave them another shot because I really liked the salon and 2.5 weeks later I went in for another gel manicure before my next trip. This time I got a French gel manicure. I was EXTREMELY disappointed when my nails severely chipped TWO DAYS after getting them done. There’s no reason for them to chip so badly and quickly. I was so excited to have cute nails for my trip, but ended up having chipped nails that all broke because of exposure. They looked awful for the whole trip and I couldn’t believe I paid $60 ( $55 for gel French and $5 for shaping) for them to chip TWO DAYS later!!

Since I was overseas, I couldn’t call to let them know or go back to have them fix it. I had reached out to them via Instagram and Facebook as well, hoping we could discuss and I got a response back stating that they received my message, but no actual response to my message. I’m extremely disappointed in my latest two experiences.

I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure French tips. It was 125$. The service was very basic for the price I accept that as not all salons follow similar procedures or create a luxury environment. My issue was the manicure. They told me to shape my natural nails into an oval was 5$ extra. How insane, for 125$ To make a shape that takes no more time than any other. While she was doing the manicure I kept telling the tech my nail shape was uneven, the French tip was uneven. I could tell she was annoyed but it looked terrible, finally she finished. I left looked at my nails and had to return they were so bad. Another woman fixed them in 15 minutes she did a very simple French and I wouldn’t have left a bad review but I look down today and 2 days after I can tell in her rush she didn’t clean up the nail before curing so they will lift within the week and my curl hair will get under the polish when I style it. All in all do not go here the price - the service not worth it at all. They want to be luxury but clearly are a money grab.

Update: thank you for your response but as I was just in town for the week and won’t be able to come in to get my nails done a 3rd time. As for the nail curing around the edges I’ve uploaded more photos to show what they look like now after another day they are peeling on all corners
