Very welcoming church with positive/inspirational messaging. I always take something away from Pastor Joe's sermons which are upbeat, clever, academic & inspirational. The music at the 9a service is quite good, but if you prefer the more formal church experience, the later service is good too. The experience is a great option if you're looking for religion on your own terms.
First walked into this church 33 years ago and fellowship, playing bells, and singing in the choir have kept me here! Excellent music program!!! Ministers have been kind and caring! If you’re looking for a church to join, I definitely recommend you giving Medford UMC a look!
We have been members of this wonderfully inclusive church for over 25 years. In that time, we have welcomed many people who have not felt comfortable in a church environment, but have found a home at Medford United Methodist Church (MUMC). We have watched many young couples come, grow their families, and then leave the nest to grow their own, and many of them return to MUMC to raise their own young families. Since becoming a reconciling congregation, our church has become a home for many who have sought a church home that is welcoming to all. We are so fortunate to have found MUMC, and our wonderful and nurturing church family.
I have attended this church all of my life. I grew up in Medford but now live in another town and travel there each week to attend. I made it a point when my twins were babies to get to church and to bring them up in a church environment. I am dedicated to this church and in turn feel appreciated and loved back. The church is very welcoming and inclusive to ALL people. The pastor is great and the music programs are quite good too. The church does a number of mission oriented activities and outreach. They host the Live Nativity at Medford's Dickens Festival and have for years. They are also present at National Night Out. They have an excellent preschool program that has been there for like 50 years or so. I don't believe any church is without some faults or things that can be improved on but this one checks most boxes. Proud of my church. Highly recommend.
Such a welcoming community! The first time I visited, multiple people introduced themselves. Then when I returned, I was remembered. Pastor Joe makes an effort to say hello to everyone. His sermons are meaningful and thought provoking. I am blown away by the community outreach this congregation does. I look forward to joining online or in person weekly!
