Both of our children attended the center and had a positive experience. The staff is kind and cares for the children and the class sizes we small which allows teachers to truly get to know each child. Ms. Suzanne is one of the kindest and loving teachers at the center!
We began our search for a daycare for our infant 3 years ago. We can all agree, leaving your child in the care of another can be very nerve racking. MT Olive Childcare was the 4th daycare we visited. When we arrived at the infant room, we were greeted with a warm welcome and they offered to watch our child while we toured the center. He wouldn't let us put him down during the tours of the other daycares we visited but we decided to give it a try. When we put him down at Mt Olive Childcare he literally closed the door on us and went right to the teachers and kids in the room. He's been enrolled at the center ever since and we could not be any happier with our decision and the experiences we've had over the last 2 years. The teachers take the time to learn each child's personality and needs to encourage a great learning environment. Our son constantly talks about his day with his friends and teachers. He has grown so much in his time at the center and we attribute a lot of that to the great teachers and the well rounded curriculum. The center does a great job creating a friendly school environment. The tuition is very reasonable compared to the other centers in the area. We absolutely recommend Mt Olive Childcare to anyone looking for daycare for their little one.
What a wonderful summer camp program. The teachers were very organized and they take care of the children as if they were their own. A great atmosphere for children to learn and grow.
Both of my children have been enrolled here since they were infants. The teachers and aides do a great job learning my kids’ needs and work to develop them as they grow. They love their teachers and enjoy the activities. Both have become more openly expressive and confident outside the home with support from their teachers.
The Center also accommodated one of my children for private Early Intervention sessions onsite and worked to aid in understanding and supplementing my child’s IEP goals during the transition to the township’s half-day preschool under Special Services. The Center is a bus stop for Chester M. Stephens Elementary School and Mountain View Elementary School. However, for Mountain View, the township only provides busing to the Center if your child is enrolled in their Special Services preschool or extended school year programs. We also received a lot of advice and help from the center staff in working with the school district's transportation office, who are difficult to reach for clarifications and changes.
My oldest son (3yrs) goes here and they are very detailed with the class syllabus, making sure to carefully go over the skills and activities that our children learn from. As a stay at home mom, I trust that they're taking good care of him. Of course any attentive parent will pay attention to and discuss their child's progress, and they know and accept this. There's a back to school night as well as child progress sessions that any parent can call in to schedule with the teachers or director. It is a bit expensive for us, but they provide outdoor time on a playground year round as well as sensory play and early intervention. They also work with various groups that help parents pay for preschool, which is how we are managing the cost. It's worth it for my family so we don't quibble on sending him there.
