Visited Neepa merchants office for the first time a couple of years ago. She is nice and kind. I have since the beginning found the office nearly impossible to get a return call from. She once saw my son 5 years old multiple days in a row for an issue with breathing. The first visit it was mentioned maybe it was a virus. The second day with worse symptoms - maybe the flu. The third day the severity of the breathing was considered on her part dehydration. And according her - my sons breathing as a bit rapid. Advised to get him more fluids and consider the ER . I went straight to urgent care as many had doubted her level of concern with the matter. Within minutes of being at the urgent care my son was taken to the children’s hospital for extremely low oxygen levels. This was never checked at her office. Within minutes the professionals at pediatric urgent care on rt 22 , they could visibility see my son’s distress in breathing. From the Er my son was admitted to ICU for pneumothorax. Hospital staff was amazed at how this could have gone missed by his Dr whom I had visited day after day with concern.

She did apologize but I was apprehensive to continue to see her. Since then and before I have found the staff to be slow and most times not even responsive to calls and requests for spots and needed documents. Even as of right now I am waiting for a return call for needed forms for my children for school and I anticipate like usual I will not hear back.

Extremely unprofessional. Kind woman but I would not recommend this office to anyone.

She is a very good doctor who listens and observes very carefully. She has always communicated on time.She always makes herself available when you need her advice. My family likes visiting her, she is probably the best doctor in our neighborhood. Thank you for what you do Dr. Merchant.

She is one of the best Doc, that I have met till date. She spend good time to understand your concerns and issue and acts accordingly more over she is not commercial where the other few doctors give appointments for 10 people for the same slot.I would highly recommend her as a go to solution for any problem at least to get the initial level of diagnosis.

Most importantly the staff is also more friendly and can really help you with appointments at the very last minute!!

She is very nice to patients and remembers the patients and their medical history. She speaks with patients good and clarify the questions so well . She is my primary physician to me and my husband from past 2 years.
