I stayed at the Governor mansion back in 1990 over Fourth of July. At the time my then boyfriend was very politically involved and Gov. Florio was in office. He and I Happened to get their room (Jim and Lucinda’s) as there were 3 other couples and a few single there as well. There is another house directly across the street from the ocean home that is also utilized for the governor and part of the group we’re staying there. It’s a beautiful home though I’m sure the interior design may be different all these years later. Bbq on the back patio was so much fun with some wine and beer and of course some great cocktails! Lots of music!!! Being just a walkway on sand from the back yard to the ocean/beach and being so private was amazing! The best part for me was that the entire guest list were all democrats and I was the lone republican!!!! 😂no one held it against me though. Great memories there. ** At that time there was no gate at the front driveway like there is today!

I don't know what the others are complaining about. My all-expense-paid holidays here with the Guv have been nothing but lovely.
