    Platt’s Performance is hands down one of the best auto shops I’ve had the pleasure of bringing any of my cars to. My Volkswagen GTI was with them for over a month, and throughout the entire process Eric and the team kept me constantly informed and made sure every decision made was communicated directly to me. They didn’t rush anything, but made sure every part of the repairs were done right. When I got it back, my car was running perfectly with zero issues. Almost felt like a brand new car. Honest, knowledgeable, and very professional service from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Platts Performance to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop that actually cares about their customers and their cars.

    From the initial evaluation until the completion of the work, Platt’s mechanics and office staff kept us apprised of their progress. They always reached out to go over what the problems were and how they intended to fix them. We were always given choices as to how we wanted to proceed with our vehicle’s repairs and updates. Our 1970 Pontiac Sunbird is now a “brand new” car! Excellent customer service personnel and top notch mechanics right in the neighborhood. A winning combination!

    Being someone in the automotive world I’ve seen and heard a lot of horror stories about how some dealerships and shops will treat customers. I’m glad to hear that isn’t the case here. Derek helping keep my 94 corvette up and running. He kept me informed the entire time and went above and beyond to ensure every issue was addressed and fixed. There isn’t anyone else I would trust to work on my corvette from here on out and he is my go to guy whenever I need to recommend work to anyone for anything!

    This is my first experience with Platt's Performance Plus. I am the furthest thing from a car enthusiast. I recently purchased a used Volvo S60 Sedan from a neighbor as a car for my son, who commutes from Old Bridge to Rutgers.

    The car has a bit over 100k miles. My goal is to drive them till they drive no more. Before I purchased the car, I brought it to my usual mechanic to give it a look over. There was a minor oil leak that appeared to be a pan gasket. Other than that, it needed a couple of tires and brake service.

    I brought it back to my mechanic to address the leak, and after a day in the shop, he had me pick it up, as the leak was actually coming from behind the timing cover and was " out of his wheelhouse", in other words, I needed a specialist.

    I was directed to an import garage in Edison; however, they only worked on BMW and Mercedes.

    After some searching on ChatGPT, I identified PPP as an option.

    I delivered the car on a Monday afternoon and was given a COMPLETE diagnostic evaluation of the car on Tuesday afternoon. I was texted a link and scheduled a call with Eric, the service coordinator.

    Eric took me through the report and delivered some less-than-welcoming news that I had another leak on the opposite side of the engine that needed to be addressed.

    I had to decide to scrap a car that I just purchased 90 days ago (that I dropped $1400 into last week for tires, brakes, and a battery) or do the repairs and have my son in a super clean, rehabbed Volvo.

    There was ZERO pressure from Eric to do a lot of work. I decided to move ahead and have the work completed.

    I met Mr. Platt, who was gracious and welcoming.

    Mr. Platt and his team were very impressive. Great communicators, knowledgeable, and supportive.

    I am confident my son gets another 100K plus out of this vehicle, with regular maintenance.

    I, too, am in the service business, and I am a firm believer that price is what you pay and VALUE is what you get.

    As I tell clients often, the cheapest service providers often are the most expensive in the end.

    I am very pleased with my first experience at Platt Performance Plus.
