It’s rare that I write a review, but when I do, you know it’s time for change.

I’ve been a pretty regular customer of Frankford car wash for the last couple of years, usually it’s been pretty good. Reasonable price and good quality wash overall. However the last while I’ve been noticing a steady decline. The rates jumped up not long ago, $19 for the highest automatic package (whatever, I don’t care) but when the washes got worse and worse, that’s when it started bugging me. My last straw is probably today (11/10/25) when I pull up like usual, buy the $19 package and pull in. Starts off fine, but after the soap foam, the machine had gotten jammed up or something and stopped functioning mid-wash. The machine was restarted relatively promptly and continued its cycle (also whatever) but when the wash was done, I pull out and look at my car to see how it did. Absolutely awful. Road grime still all over the rear of the car, bird droppings look like they haven’t been touched, and now my car is COVERED in soap. I might as well have misted it with a spray bottle and tossed some tissues at it. I then had to pull around again to a self service bay, just to rewash my car and make it somewhat clean again. The self service bays aren’t terrible but you’ve gotta move quick or you’ll end up spending over $30 for a decent hand wash. Not even worth it anymore, I know gas stations that have better washes and prices than this.

You should really be paying for my last wash Frankford car wash, but I’m guessing you’ll cheap out on that too 😒

Used the auto bay with “light touch”. Too light apparently. The back of the car didn’t really get cleaned. The extra paid for the tire rim scrub was not really worth it.

After the $14 wash, I then had to pay $2 more for vacuum and another $2 for the mat cleaner.

So cost was $19 for a less than great wash. Coming from California recently, this was about triple for the same type of car wash.

Pros - most of the car was clean. The vacuum is great and the floor mats came out nice.

Cons - you only get 5 mins to vacuum your whole car (unless you pay more). Car wasn’t clean as a whistle coming out of the wash.

Next time I might try the high pressure auto wash… or I might save money and do a better job at home.

Easily one of the nicest self wash bays and automatic washes in the area and around New Jersey. Everything actually works and they recently installed a touchless wash which is awesome as I have vinyl stripes on my car and its ceramic coated. Owner and employees are extremely friendly. Its my "goto", when I dont feel like pulling my pressure washer out and detailing my cars at home or where I go for a quick touchless wash before a car show. Prices are similar to other washes around the area. Theres even a bay thats high enough for commercial trucks to fit. The site is extremely clean as they are constantly cleaning up. I only wish they offered a unlimited monthly pass like some others do as Im there quite often...I read another review that mentions lines...Yes, there sometimes are lines, but my guess is its because so many people go there as theres not really any other nice washes in the area. As you can see from my photos, the wash and the chemicals they use leaves the car shining

Theres even a a shop on site behind the car wash that does ceramic coatings and provides many other detail services.
