I needed a Mani Pedi for a wedding 💒 and when I arrived to make an appointment the owner was willing to accommodate me on the spot. The owner had my tech add she's butter foot massage, which was exfoliating and refreshing.
I have been a customer of Sky Nail in East Windsor for over a decade, and I have noticed that standards have been slipping for my last three visits.
I walked in for a pedicure in the early part of the spring this year, and waiting for 45 minutes to an hour. I have been a walk-in over the past, but I never had to wait that long. I wound up leaving.
I returned this summer for a pedicure, and I did not experience a long wait time, everything was okay, but I definitely noticed a change in the staff. Morale seemed lower and the nail techs were spending a good amount of time on their phones. The tech who serviced me did a sufficient job, but seemed more to be going through the motions.
I recently visited again, to see if there has been improvement. This time, my nail tech was actually dumping out nail clippings from the nail clipper in front of me, and then "disinfecting" with nail polish remover. If this is an example of the hygiene standards at this salon, I think all customers should be concerned. Also, everyone is on their phone - like, ALL the time.
Overall, the pedicures are good, but I do have concerns about the sanitation practices here, as well as the fact that all staff seem to be distracted by their phones. It's a shame because this nail salon had great service up until recently. I will most likely not be coming back.
I asked for a gel pedicure with cat eye polish. They have a book to choose your color/design. No one knew how to do the cat eye design. If no one in the salon knows how to do something you’re advertising, then why have the book out as an option ? Jennifer did cat eye on my nails, and they look great, but no one could do it on my toes??? Jennifer said she couldn’t do it because she was pregnant ..?? Very Poor customer service. I won’t return.
Joy the owner is so nice, she greets you warmly every time you walk in. The technician I work with is named Jennifer and she does such a wonderful job. I come In with the most insane styles and ideas which she always manages to make them look so good. Joy and Jennifer also did my wedding nails too and I got so many compliments about them. Definitely worth the price.
