It's a cold, cloudy day in January in Sussex County. What to do? We like art museums. Maybe we can go to an exhibit in Princeton or Newark? Dare we go into Manhattan? Look here, there is a museum in Lafayette no more than 15 minutes from home. So, we tried it out and we were astonsihed by the collection of provocative and whimsical sculptures and paintings! Definitely a good use of an art lover's time. The experience was perfect - easy access, minimal cost, welcoming environment, thoughtful displays and layout. I'm so glad to have this asset in our county and hope it will be well supported.

There is a modest sign on Rte. 15 that says “Art Museum.” As you drive in you are instantly aware that this is a unique place. The outdoor sculptures in surprising locations add to the feeling that this museum has a connection to nature as well as imagination. Upon entering, we were welcomed by founder Ailene Fields, who in an of herself is the very heart of this collection of artwork. Her own work is included in the form of bronze, alabaster, and resin sculptures. But so much more awaits you as you journey from room to room. The museum has taken full advantage of the space, and each nook and cranny never fails to stop you and “expects” you to explore further. You will!
You will leave feeling connected to the art in a fulfilling and joyful way.

Nine inspirational rooms of mesmerizing art from Salvador Dali to fairytales to feed the soul plus a serene outdoor atmosphere with a stunning steel & mosaic guardian Ms. Spinx to greet you!! Did I mention that there is a room dedicated to DRAGONS 🐉?

Absolutely Amazing, Loved every bit of it. I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect at first. I was aware of the Exhibit The Phantom of the Opera with work by artist Anne Bachelier. I wanted to see this Exhibit very much. I wasn't sure what else the Museum would offer. Let me tell you, this was a magnificent experience. I loved the Phantom Exhibit. The person that greets you when you enter was very friendly and helpful. The other exhibits were exactly my thing. Room after room of art i could look at all day. The museum itself is a really cool building and laid out really well. The gift shop was awesome and I made some purchases I absolutely love. I will be visiting this museum again for sure and highly recommend it to anyone. Currently open On Friday and Saturday. Hopefully this will expand in the future.
