The sanctuary of this church is so beautifully crafted with detailed wood workmanship of years gone by. The new pastor and his wife are very welcoming, and the sermons are so relevant for today. The church hosts a food pantry there on Saturdays, too, reaching out to neighbors in need.
My grandfather and family attended this church for many many years he was a elder in the church and performed many services for the church I have memories of being in this church as early as 3 yrs of age sitting in the very first pew as our father expected us topay attention to what the Pastor was saying. Everytime we visited from out home town of Bloomingdale, NJ we attended services here and after we moved to California when I was 6 and we came to visit my grandfather and aunt we attended here my last time was in the summer of 1974 when I was 14 yrs old a couple months from being 15. My grandfather passed away Dec 1973 and my Aunt was preparing to move to California in June 1975. When iwas visiting in '74 I used to go to Eagle Rock Park in Montclair passed Yogi Berra's house and look across the bay to see the Twin Towers being completed that year.
