Temple Sholom is a welcoming and warm Reform Jewish community. In the 8 years we have been members, TSWE has been a source of joy and meaning for our family. There is no “one way” to celebrate Judaism at TSWE. From Friday night services to Tikkun Olam opportunities to the incredible Religious School and B’nai Mitzvah program, there is something for everyone here.

Temple Sholom of West Essex is a small, nurturing community that has been wonderful for our family. I love that the clergy knows our family and serves as an accessible resource for both our times of joy and challenges. The religious school infuses joy and principles throughout all its teaching, which makes the weekly classes something my children look forward to.

We love Temple Sholom of West Essex. It is family friendly, inclusive and welcoming. Our family adores Rabbi Groffman, Cantor Wright and Rabbi Patz. We can not say enough wonderful things about the religious school. Our kids look forward to going each week. The Religious School Director Cara Moroze has incredible creativity and knowledge. She hires dedicated staff who keep the children engaged, learning and having fun. Religious school is once a week, on a weekday, which allows our kids to still engage in many other activities. We are so happy to be part of this community.

The new Cantor is very good and I was always moved by the teachings of the Rabbi. I was born and raised a Catholic, this was of thinking makes more sense to me.
