I joined in 2010 because Rabbi Tobin is amazing spiritual guide and teacher and the congregants and environment are so warm and welcoming. In 2012 we were fortunate to have our wedding at B'nai Shalom. It was perfect. Since then we have traveled to Israel with a group led and taught by Rabbi Tobin and have been learning for 5 years through the Melton course, taught by Rabbi Tobin and other amazing teachers.

Traditional Conservative synagogue in the heart of West Orange Jewish community. Mostly older membership but includes a group of very active core members that show on a weekly basis and Jewish holidays. They have a daily minyan, a Hebrew school and an onsite cafe under kosher supervision. The building has been renovated and is available for rental functions including weddings and bar mitzvahs for both members and non-members. The synagogue features a large property and parking lot.

We had such an elegant wedding in the newly renovated hall. The sanctuary is a beautiful setting for a chuppah. There's plenty of room for dancing and shmoozing -- we had 250 guests. The tisch is far from the bedeken, so make sure there's someone at your simcha to direct the guests.
