This is truly the best store I’ve ever been to. The space is absolutely beautiful—so thoughtfully designed and welcoming. But what made my experience unforgettable was Chenoah. She is without a doubt the kindest, most genuine person I’ve ever met. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, answered every question with patience, and made the whole experience feel special. You can tell she truly cares about everyone who walks in that store. I left not only loving what I purchased, but also feeling uplifted by the interaction. Absolutely loved visiting this charming little shop in Lafayette today! The owner was so kind and welcoming—it truly felt like stepping into a friend’s home. The store has such a unique mix of treasures, from beautiful plants and furniture to clothing and thoughtful gifts. I couldn’t resist taking home a few plants and a lovely end table, and the owner even included a small dish so my plants could travel safely in the car. Such a thoughtful touch! Highly recommend this spot—10/10 experience.

I just love this store!! This is my favorite boutique shop near my home and feels like home. Shenoah, the owner, put her heart and soul to this shop and you feel it right as you walk in. Every little corner of this beauty is unique from real bee hives (now decor but was once real so cool) to the plant potters shaped of all your favorite animals to the cutest baby section that holds books and adorable organic baby clothing for all months. The clothes are beautiful and one of a kind - I always seem to find a new piece to my wardrobe, oops! Candles and soaps…YES. the scents are spectacular. This is a must stop shop on your 15 route. There is something for every season and everyone! Thank you for the hugs!

This is a fun store. It has all matter of delightful items from specialty teas, to books, to seasonal clothing and everything in between. The proprietor is warm and chatty and super knowledgeable. If you ever get tired of all the dumb dumbs in the world and want to go somewhere truly special, then visit the Lafayette Mercantile. You will leave feeling replenished
