Had “The Furio” for the first time. Absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend. The different flavors come together perfectly making it such a great sandwich. It’s the perfect amount of spicy. 10/10 sandwich.

I finally got to meet up with “The Mozzarella God” I tell you, you have to try this. It’s mouthwatering just looking at the menu. The sandwiches are nice size to.(BTW they were cut in half and only ate a quarter of each…filled me up)
I got the Uncle Paulie Sandwich:
Fresh chicken cutlet, fried mozzarella on toasted cheesy garlic bread topped with fresh basil, pecorino cheese and a side of vodka sauce. And The Big Poppa
Fresh mozzarella melted sandwich with tomatoes, house made seasoned arugula, prosciutto, chicken cutlet on toasted cheesy garlic bread. Truly amazing. Fast friendly service. Take cash/card/Apple Pay
Go to their site and follow them.

The Mozzarella God is exactly what the name promises. Elite.

I stumbled across The Mozzarella God today at Edgemont Park during Montclair’s 4th of July celebration after a friend told me it was a must-try—and I’m so glad I listened.

I wasn’t super hungry, so I ordered the “Tony Soprano”—deep-fried mozzarella topped with vodka sauce, freshly grated pecorino, and chopped basil. Simple concept, but the execution? Heavenly.

The cheese pull was unreal—the kind that stops conversations and gets everyone around you staring. The breading? Perfectly seasoned and crisped to the gods. And the mozzarella itself had a richness and flavor I honestly wasn’t expecting. It wasn’t just cheese—it had character.

But what really sent it over the top was that vodka sauce. Creamy, balanced, and wildly addictive. I came dangerously close to drinking the leftover sauce straight. Whoever made it? Needs a plaque, a podcast, and probably a cooking show. One of the best I’ve ever had—period.

The pecorino and basil added just the right touch of sharpness and freshness to round everything out.

I didn’t even get into their sandwiches yet, but if this was just the appetizer… I can’t wait to come back. This isn’t just one of the best mozzarella dishes I’ve had—it’s a full-blown experience.

I discovered The Mozzarella God at the food truck festival in Bloomfield last week, and I was instantly fascinated by their creative take on classic favorites. The menu was packed with mouthwatering options, and I knew I had to give it a try.

I went with the Uncle Paulie and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was absolutely delicious—perfectly portioned, not greasy at all, and generously packed with meat. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite.

The owner was also super nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Be sure to check out their Instagram page too—they’ve got some great visuals of their food that’ll have you craving more. Can’t wait to find them again!
