Very well maintained trails. I hiked the white trail. This trail was the best marked trails I've been on in awhile. A lot of exposed roots. Many Boardwalk crossings which are extremely slippery when wet. I went after a rain storm and portions of the trail were flooded but passable. There was a restroom at the parking lot at the trailhead. There is also a small playground.

This park is a gem with a nature center, kayak rentals, a fishing area, and numerous trails. I particularly enjoyed the history display in the nature center. There’s ample parking and restrooms, making it a great place to spend a few hours.

Arrived around 3 and went straight to the office to rent a canoe. No one was here so we walked around the building for a few minutes. Finally saw an employee walk up around 3:15 and he wouldn’t let us rent a canoe. He said you have to arrive well before 3 and he leaves at 4 so the canoe would have to be back well before 4. They should really change their signs. Trails are tick and fly infested so come prepared.

    Love walking the trails
or sitting by the pond with a book or some coffee. the ticks seem to be worse than usual this year so keep that in mind. if your walking your dog don’t forget the poopy bags!

wonderful recreation area with a nice variety of walking trails. The orange trail we found to be a bit wider and easier and good to take kids on. The white trail has great views of the lake. The green trail had a lot of fun narrow areas with some winding up and down. I enjoyed all of the trails.there is a playground for kids as well as restrooms and a picnic area.
