Hardworking orthodox schul. Right wing/likud politics. From the Bima, someone referred to as a "great tragedy" the massive courageous Israeli demonstrations against Netanyahu's consolidation of power/suppression of the Supreme Court. Discussions of Israeli politics quickly devolve into fears about security. I don't agree with the political orientation, but I love the song and ritual, the warmth and comradery, the rhythms of the readings, and the propagation of traditional worship.
