On the water, picturesque beautiful grounds with Veterans War Memorial not too far, Inspiring history of Alice Austen
Beautiful view of the water and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. You can even see Brooklyn, Manhattan and Jersey City from this park. Rosebank has the best views in Staten Island.
We have not spent much time on Staten Island, and like many people, have fallen into the trap of stereotyping it based on ignorant comments. Alice Austen Park dispelled all stereotypes. It was absolutely beautiful and tranquil. We had a great day there and we would love to go back soon. And what a great view of the Verrazano Bridge and Manhattan!
Inside the park also Alice Austin house (kind of small museum about her)
Around the house there is a table where you can have a picnic and have good conversation.
If I am not mistaken, there is a parking behind the house.
There is an area for walking with dogs. There is no playground for kids, unfortunately. The park has plenty of places for a picnic with a beautiful view of the buono Beach and verazano Bridge. I
There is a public restroom (portable), which I don't recommend. The park to visit.
First time there. Amazing! The sites, the scenery. Great place alone or with family. I ride an e-scooter and there was plenty of places to ride without interfering with pedestrians or traffic!
