All My Stars Daycare

I wanted to share my review in light of the recent video that came out showing a former terrible day care employee who engaged in unacceptable and unlawful child abuse behavior. I usually don't like posting so long like this, but this day care holds a special place in my heart along with my wife. They have done wonders for our son's development and growth and he truly would not be the amazing young man he is today, without their wonderful leadership, structured program, and amazing and supportive staff.

To give you some background into me, I am an administrator in a NYC Public school, and as such I know about all the unfortunate finagling, hush-ups and shady practices that sadly occur throughout in the NYC education system (and other city and state agencies as well). I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that this day care has and is always operating above board while following all NYC and NYS Department of Education guidelines, as well as all NYC and NYS Department of Health & Mental Hygiene guidelines as well. The owners and teachers are always transparent with us and all families and they always ensure that all required paperwork is completed by families in a timely fashion and kept on file in a secure location. They have always been transparent with us regarding issues with our son and his classmates and we have always been kept in the loop throughout the school day (each class also has a WhatsApp group to share important news or updates by the teachers or owners on the spot to the parents of the children in that class).

Of course, the video that was spread around shows true child abuse and terror and I can only imagine how the parents and child who suffered at this abuse and negligence from her are currently feeling. Our heart goes out to this family and I hope that they get the support that they may need to overcome this and hope that time will heal all wounds. However, once the owner was made aware of the situation, the employee was swiftly terminated and reported along with full documentation of the incident to SCR (the NYS registry for Child Protective Services).

We are so grateful to the owner and her actions, as this is how she has always conducted her business and program, as well as being a true Eved Hashem. She always takes action first and puts the children and their families safety, support and concerns first (as well as her staff) and asks the trivial questions later (a true Naaseh V'Nishmah). Furthermore, the fact that she reported the incident to the State Level first before the City level shows you just how much she understands the severity of the situation.
As mentioned in the beginning, our son loves and is loved and embraced by the wonderful people who run this day care and without them, he would not be the wonderful young man he is today. He is currently 3 and has been with them since he was 6 months old. We love how he continues to grow exponentially with the program and develop with them, well beyond our expectations. We are excited that we will continue to send him to this program next year for his 4-K year, as well as enrolling our new child we are shortly expecting any day, once they are old enough to attend day-care. Unfortunately there are bad apples no matter where you go and both my wife and I again applaud the swift efforts of this program to weed out this bad apple and incident which sadly occurred.

Our bracha and prayer to all is while this behavior is totally unacceptable, this behavior was the action of one individual who most certainly does not represent the entire day care and program. We urge our fellow Yidden to always give Dan L'Kafskus to others, specifically the program in this case (certainly not to this individual of course who again thankfully was swiftly terminated and reported to the state registry) and realize that while one bad apple may spoil the whole bunch, that should certainly never always be the case.

Yaffa is a professional. She knows how to care for children and spends lots of her own time being there and overseeing her daycare. I’ve had my daughter there for few months and I was pretty happy with the care she received.

I can not say enough good things about All My Stars / Gan Yaffa. I have been blessed to have all 4 of my kids attend (2 are still their). The love that my kids receive/ received from these amazing Morahs is incredible. They really do an outstanding job teaching while still giving each child love and attention. When my kids come home they are always excited to tell me about their day and what they learnt and what they did (even my 2 year old !) I would never dream of having my kids anyplace else! Thank you Yaffa and all the Morahs !!!

UPDATE
My youngest son has just "graduated" and will be moving on to elementary school. I can not Express the sadness I have knowing we wont be going back in September and seeing all the amazing smiling faces that have become apart of our family. We will forever consider ALL the staff and Morahs at All My Stars family.
We are truly grateful and blessed to have had such amazing amazing teachers for the last 10 years !!!! (Wow, my babies are growing up way to fast )

My name is Eti H, and I am a mother of 2 kids, ages 3 and 4. For a long time I was searching for a warm environment for my children, and had trouble doing so. Until I came across All My Stars Daycare.
The Daycare is owned by Yaffa Bahar and a certified teacher who hires only the most loving and caring teachers and assistants, all whom give their undivided attention to each child as if they were their own children, and teach at the right pace for every child, based on their individual needs and ages.
The daycare is on a very high education level and it is clear that a lot of effort has been put into it.
I give my highest of recommendation about All My Stars Daycare and would like to thank the staff there for all their love, attention, patience, activities, and most of all for their step by step guidance and assistance from infancy all the way to preschool, for the safety and security that we felt while having our beloved children in your care, for the amazing delicious and nutritious food that was provided, and mostly for the happiness and joy in our children’s days as they came to school every day.
It is without a doubt that leaving your school (since my children will be aging out) will be difficult to do.
