This small café mostly sells coffee, sandwiches, pastries, and an number of more substantial food items. It punches most above its weight in terms of decor. With artificial plants for greenery, a brass chandelier, crown molding, and New York city-themed mural on its wall, the tiny café makes for a pleasant atmosphere in which to enjoy your food and beverages. The bright, spotless, and relatively spacious interior makes for a stark contrast with other local cafes.
In my experience, the food was tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. I feel that you get a lot more than you pay for here, particularly given its location in downtown New Rochelle. Similar foods and drinks retail at nearby cafes for higher prices. I initially came here for bunch. (The waffle was buttery and crisp, and the iced latte was strong and refreshing). I have been back for the french toast and an egg sandwich. This would also be an excellent spot for a light lunch or a dessert.
Update: I came back here for a tasty and filling breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the latte and macaroon. With subtle LED spotlights and the many artificial plants, I was stuck by how bright and cheery Altimira looked, especially on a cold winter day. The white paint, faux marble tables, and cool white light gave everything a very clean and crisp look.
Absolutely love this place!!! My daughter took her grandmother on Mother’s Day and the staff made this such a memorable experience. Customer service on 100 and the food was just as good as the service! I highly recommend this place, such a beautiful intimate cafe with exceptional staff !

What a delightfully decorated place, with attentive staff and an overall relaxing vibe. Tasty Belgian waffle and latte. Enjoyed my time here with a book this afternoon.
Beautiful new cafe. My hazelnut coffee was amazing. My puppy bonnie was treated like royalty. The most beautiful atmosphere and incredible staff I felt at home. Will be back soon. So happy you are a part of my city new rochelle. Thank you
