I know the reviews are not that great but today I experienced positivity firm displaced. The pizza is actually tasted good. I got the artichoke pizza. The portion is very good for airport prices as price reasonably. The only thing I noticed was that one of the workers left their key cards in one of the dough trays which is kind of nasty. I pointed it out to one of his coworkers and to be honest she was very nice and apologetic and just took the tray back for it not to be used. You guys gotta remember you were in the food business and what you put in front of people goes into their mouth and the last thing they want is food poisoning while they’re about to go on a vacation. keep getting better.
I was so happy to find out my hometowns pizzeria opened up at Terminal 5. However this review is for service with reflects the food. They have self service kiosks to order from. I ordered a slice of their signature Artichoke slice. Long story short , me and 1 guy have waited 20 mins while 3 groups of people got their food after we ordered. We told the manager and she had to tell the server 2-3 times about me and he said not yet. Finally when she told him how long the orders been there, the server said it’s already ready and hot. If it’s been sitting out there for that long it’s getting only colder. I ate a Luke warm slice with no apologies for the delay and no eye contact. Can we get some real NY born people who want to work here and keep the reputation of one of the (formerly) top pizzerias in the 5 boroughs in tact.
This is the expected disappointment from an airport venue. Got a slice each of Margherita and Artichoke. I'm giving them 2 stars because the quality and price were basically what you'd expect from an airport location- $7 to $8 per slice, overcooked in the oven, then not reheated adequately to remelt the cheese. They could do way better than this, given that this is a chain with good pizza.
There's a walk-up with a self-order keypad. Easy-peasy to order and pay. Then you step to the right side of the counter and wait for your name to be called. Employee puts it on a paper plate and bags it, tells you that napkins are over on the other side of the register behind you. There is also seating with dining tables right there.
Would I eat at this location again? Only if there isn't a big line ahead of me.
