We just used Avatar for a move across state lines, the guys were super polite and hardworking. Rob was the driver and there were two other younger gentlemen. I would recommend.

The team at Avatar was professional and prompt from start to finish. Chris was spot on with his estimate. The moving team in NY packed up our items with care. They even called us afterwards to inquire about something they packed. The team in NC was also very professional. They wouldn't let us lift a finger. It was a hot and humid day in NC but the two movers worked non stop.
I would highly recommend the Avatar moving team. Everyone was very professional and worked very hard to make our move from NY to NC less worrisome!

Avatar were excellent moving our furniture and belongings from Long Island to New Jersey. Chris gave a competitive quote and explained the process in the detail. The move was handled professionally, courteously and timely by Rob & his team.

I used Avatar to move internationally from Long Island to Canada. Chris is super-knowledgeable about the moving industry and was very helpful with various suggestions, exploring different options and with being the point of contact for the overall move. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because most of the actual moving was out of the hands of Avatar Relocation staff. This is because we used the ATLAS Affinity Vault system. While this has the advantage that your goods are secure in the vault throughout the move, it has the disadvantage that Avatar staff are mostly shut out of the interactions with the customer. While Avatar did some of the packing (and a very good job at that), most of the packing and loading (especially the furniture) was done by a different company; they were fine (nothing broke except for a piece of a coffee table, but it was a clean break and easily repaired) but they sure made a mess tracking in a lot of dirt into the house during the move out (for example by walking through flower beds instead of using the path). The delivery at destination was performed by a pre-determined company and I had no option to have a local mover move things from storage at the port-of-entry to my home. These guys turned out to be fine in the end; after all, nothing was broken, but communication was not straightforward and they weren't super cooperative in my attempts to keep track of what had been delivered. It did not help that Avatar had a different set of stickers from the team that did most of the moving. If you're making a local move or a move along the East Coast where Avatar will be able to personally handle all the aspects of the move, I'd highly recommend these guys. For an international move, I've knocked off one star for the reasons above.

Avatar Relocation helped us with our move from Brooklyn to Long Island, which included putting most of our furniture and boxes in storage for 3 months. Their service and staff are very professional while still being kind and caring. They took such great care of our furniture and belongings as if it was their own. They prepped our floor so that everything stayed neat and didn't get marked up, they arrived at the exact time they were suppose to and they were finished within 4 hours.
