Hands down, the best experience I’ve ever had in a store. Adam and his employees, including Phil, are some of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. Adam especially goes above and beyond—he knows everything in his store and takes the time to really help.
I came in while dealing with a stressful situation with my elderly father and needed new doorknobs. Adam didn’t just point me in the right direction- he personally helped me find the perfect fit for my doors and showed me so much kindness and understanding in the process. That meant more to me than he probably realizes.
This isn’t just a hardware store. It’s a place where you feel compassion and genuine care, and that’s priceless. Thank you, Adam- you truly are the best.

Bedford Ace Hardware is a wonderful store and indeed represents the Company slogan: "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man".
The owner, Adam, sets the culture of in-store service. And all of the staff are very attentive.
In particular, Ross, is extremely knowledgeable and always helps answer any question - and then recommends the best product to meet the customer need. And all the staff, especially Ana, at the front counter are very friendly.
The value of having a local hardware store that's not Home Depot cannot be exaggerated and that ACE store in Bedford is as good as it gets. They have everything, they have tons of people ready to help you and everyone is incredibly polite.
I occasionally get to town to help a friend around his Bedford home. This Ace has plenty of staffing that have all been friendly, polite and helpful with any of my questions. The shop is clean and carries a wide range of hardware store type product. Most valuable is the guidance and advice provided to the DIY type person.
I've been going to this location for years. Every. Single. Staff member, is friendly and waiting for their chance to help you. At the same time, when you're just looking around for ideas and don't necessarily need help, they'll leave you to your own devices. It's a great shopping experience, not to mention the huge selection of items they carry. Even after years of visits I'm continually surprised to find they carry something I didn't think smaller hardware stores deal with. Give them a shot, you wont be disappointed.
