This place was redone a few months ago had a renovation, and for the time that it was being redone. It doesn't seem to look like much was done. I was expecting a lot more to be changed inside, but it still looks pretty similar. The food was actually pretty bad.I had the chicken frenches, and it was pink undercooked and very hard to cut. I didn't expect this as they got a new chef, and I thought it would be top of the line chef. It took a long time to get food and get our order as well. The atmosphere is not that great. Just a few tvs and you can hear people yelling from the bar. I was expecting all of this because that's the breezy way and the way the old bar was.So this the as the atmosphere wasn't new to me, but I was very upset about the food. I also thought that they would have put a lot more effort into the renovation. I'm hoping to go back this week or next week and try again and hoping for a better experience. It might have just been a bad day. I also forgot about the lewd comments from others in the place. After reading someone else's review, it's pretty sick that people still talk like this in a public place.

We held a birthday luncheon today and it was incredible - the service, the food, everything was wonderful. Highly recommend!

A favorite for locals who want a good meal at a fair price (kitchen open 6p-930p Wed-Sat), and a great bar with an older crowd 12n-10pm and a younger clientele weekends after 10pm. Cash only.
Re-opened under new ownership in July 2025.

Great to see this iconic place rejuvenated with a new crew while maintaining the amazing history of the the many years before. So great to see such a great and respectful transition!!!! Long may you run fellas !

opening night of their renovation was yesterday night. the bathroom was out of service and we had to use a porta potty outside. also no AC or even a fan so it was so hot and stuffy in there.
