Genuinely Family oriented, with wonderful activities for the Chapel and the Children. Safe and Secure.
We recently attended a Sunday service with Pastor Kevin and found this to feel just like our Calvary Chapel (The Rock Calvary Chapel) back in Port Charlotte, Florida.
We came up to LI to visit family as my sister, my girlfriend, and myself are all born and raised on Long Island (my sister and I from Bay Shore and my fiancé is from Rocky Point) and my sister told us there was a Calvary church up here. We tend to stick solely to Calvary as the teaching is more centered around what is to be learned from the Bible rather than what the pastor’s opinions are, as well as not being just hype and forgiveness for sins and teaching what the Bible is actually trying to tell us.
Well, Pastor Kevin does a great job and we all enjoyed the past Sundays service and felt right at home. I even said “too bad we couldn’t move back home” because I really like Pastor Kevin, but we have commitments back in Florida.
If you are looking for a true, down to earth, and welcoming church, I would highly recommend attending this Calvary Chapel!
This church has a Wednesday night Bible study for all ages. It is truly a blessing that my daughter is involved in something teaching her about God and having fun with people her age.
This is a great church ! The pastor is very good and funny and a true man of God. They are all about Jesus not all about money. I also wanted to add they have a great group for kids on Wednesday nights from 3 up to 18!
This building is just full of people that will welcome you as you are. It feel great to be able to come here as “me” and still be loved.
My kids are loving the AWANA club every Wednesday we’re they play and learn about God.
