I spent several days hunting with Joe this year in the grouse woods and had a fantastic time. Joe is super knowledgeable, gregarious, and found grouse and woodcock on every hunt. I can’t recommend him enough and have already rebooked for 2026!

Joe provides an exceptional, authentic wild bird hunting experience. Despite an unexpected 2” snowfall, we found birds and covered some beautiful area. As someone who is newer to upland hunting, I appreciate Joe’s knowledge and infectious enthusiasm every time we are out. He clearly puts the time in with scouting and dog training, and goes above and beyond to ensure a fun, safe experience for humans and dogs alike. 10/10

Joe was an unbelievable teacher he was able to use his vast knowledge of the Grouse woods to put me on some unforgettable opportunities. Joe provides something unlike any other hunting guide he gives a personalized experience tailored perfectly to the hunter. Shooting wild birds with Joe will always be the pinnacle of my hunting career. It is so clear that he loves what he does and does it better than anyone. I will be back year after year.

My boyfriend and I went fly fishing with Joe in August through the Chatwal Lodge. We cannot recommend Joe enough. He is kind, funny and most importantly, patient to 2 novice fisherman! The hours with Joe flew by and we only wish we had more time to fish, learn and spend time with him!
