Dennis Scharfenberger, MD

Dr. Schfenberger, himself, is simply wonderful! However I cannot say the same for his receptionist, Michele! Today I had a situation. I happened to be in the area of the office which is 35 minutes from our home. My husband asked me to pick up a prescription for some blood work that needed to be done & for which he called & requested by leaving a message that morning. This is routine blood work that needs to be done every so often. The woman at the desk, Michele, took care of me, & she could not have been more unpleasant. After I introduced myself & explained why I was there, she visibled scowled at me! She made no eye contact during the exchange. I was extremely polite as I knew she had a reputation for being difficult. She refused my request saying she would get to it later & that my husband had to make an appointment first (not true). I asked her name, & made a point of thanking her for her help (no help) using her name. As I was walking to my car, I was thinking very negative thoughts about her. I was amazed that any doctor would keep such a woman in his employment. On my way home, I suddenly realized that this woman must have a horrible life to be so unpleasant. Maybe she had a horrible childhood or something. No matter. She is a miserable person in a position of power who enjoys not giving you exactly what you are requesting. She will give it to you when she is damn good & ready. I have experienced people like that in the past. There is no getting around them. The more you ask or even beg, that is exactly what they are going to withhold. Instead of nurturing my anger, I decided to say a prayer for her. She is to be pitied & prayed for. God help her!!! After praying for her, my anger was gone! Lesson learned! I have never experienced such a nasty person in all the years I have been going to doctors.

My husband and I both have Dr. Scharfenberger as our primary care doctor. He has saved our lives over the last twenty years many times. He has always sent us to some of the best specialists when necessary, and he listens to your feedback of those doctors. We feel fortunate that we found him.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dr Scharfenberger is one of the most knowledgeable Doctors I have ever met. His is compassionate and I have recommended him to many people in Orange County. Hands on to a very experienced and caring Doctor.

Dr. Scharfenberger is simply the best doctor in the area! He treats each and every patient with respect and the utmost care. My family and I have been going to him for years. He has made us feel well taken care of. He is trustworthy with medical experience beyond compare.
