Dr.Jagat rawal is good and very professional doctor.
Saw the doctor once. Reviews for him and his office were mixed, so I decided to give him a chance anyway. Doctor himself, is a nice respectful man, who was open to hearing my concerns and reason for visit. My visit was an annual visit at this point. The two women working for the doctor however, were very unprofessional. The receptionist called me over and said, “please sign the screen”. She did not even provide information on what I was signing. She said because she was on the phone. Not providing or informing patient what is being signed and why, is a HIPPA violation. Next issue was with the assistant. She informs me that for the two tests being done I needed to pay a copay along with copay for office visit. I explained to her my office visit was covered by my INS. as a wellness exam. Assistant said INS. didn’t cover it, because I was a new patient. I told her that was not a valid reason and it was an annual visit and check up regardless as I had not been seen by any other doctor for a year. Because she continued to negate that, and I was weak and feeling sick from fasting for my other exam, I told her I would not fight it at the moment but will speak to INS. Spoke to INS. and they not only confirmed that I should have been covered for a Wellness check up, but the office had not put claim as. Wellness visit but as a regular visit. INS. also explained the office billed for two lab exams separately when it should have been one copay for both. This doctor’s office over charged me and tried to get money from my insurance as well. It is unfortunate that is the type of staff the doctor has, because he can be the one to get in trouble for not only HIPPA violations committed by his staff but also for billing patients incorrectly and inaccurately.
Good doctor ( Dr. Rawal) , but the receptionists? To be fair , I give those girls 3 out of 10. They need more training in whatever receptionist should be doing. e,q compassion, courtesy, dependability ........
