Extera Roofing was terrific from beginning to end. The roof looks amazing and like it will last for decades to come. Gerti is a true professional, as are all his workers. There was a tremendous heat wave during the two days of installation, which didn’t slow then down a bit and all went as described to me beforehand. I had to replace the roof as part of my solar panel installation and they have coordinated seamlessly with the solar company as well. I highly recommend them.

I was referred to Extera New York State Solar Farm as they did my panel system years prior. My roof was “replaced” by a fly by night contractor back in 2014 and that decision proved a costly one. Cheapest quote and all I could afford at the time was a layer of shingles over the old ones.

I was finally ready to do things right on my 55 year old house. But before fully renovating the inside, best to make sure things are dry and tight otherwise once bad storm and all that work is ruined.

Spoke with Gerti months prior to work beginning. He was patient in explaining things to me, meticulous and a bit “in the weeds” with respect to explaining details.
Roof was a complete tear off and was done in a few days.
Removal of a bump out, garden window, basement windows, rear door, siding, rear deck and front porch along with steps and railings were all done by Extera as well. As you can see everything looks amazing!
I chose the best he could give me, including additional insulation from the outside. Upon that being done, there was an immediately noticeable increase in temperature inside our home (January 2024)
Being a numbers guy, the siding will pay for itself in 20 yrs. Of course YMMV but he consistently over delivered every step of the way.
He wasn’t the cheapest but again, choosing those contractors will cost a lot more later.
We are ecstatic at the level of professionalism and workmanship provided and highly recommend Gerti and Extera to anyone!!
