What a lovely, small, coffee shop. The drinks were absolutely fantastic and the space was calm and joyful at the same time. Parking is around the corner, not by the front door google sends you to. This is more of a "catch up with an old friend" coffee shop not a "work alone on your laptop" type of place. Ill be back soon.
Excellent experience at the Fermata!
Located in Marlboro NY, just 90 minutes above NYC, is a warm-welcoming, cozy feeling coffee shop bringing an authentic experience to its customers.
Coffee was fresh, milk was perfectly steamed, and the hint of flavor made it perfect!!
Their “seasonal” toast option was delicious. Very authentic taste palette and the vibes were so cozy inside the cafe.
Lots of customers were inside socializing, excited to hear about a new local business in the Hudson Valley!! I chatted with the owners briefly with excitement and curiosity to know more about them!
I stumbled upon this place while looking for a new place to edit my photos (photographer here!). I can’t wait to come back and try more options off their menu!
Check them out!! Their prices are very reasonable as well. You can’t go wrong!
Thanks Fermata for a very welcoming visit!!
I stumbled upon this coffee shop online and decided to check it out with my friend, as we are both local to the area. The atmosphere is nice, but that doesn’t mean much if the drinks are not at the standards they should be. Now, I cannot speak for every single drink on the menu, but the matcha latte and chai latte proved to be major disappointments. I ordered the former and before even swirling it, there was but little specks of matcha at the top, indicating that there was hardly any matcha. After swirling, when I tasted it, all I got was the oat milk. I did not order oat milk. I ordered a matcha latte. In the past, I have gotten matcha lattes from other local businesses and they can be light in color and still taste like matcha, but this was not the case. In fact, it was exceptionally bad. My friend order a hot chai latte and after tasting it myself, the drink was highly diluted. Despite *smelling* good, the taste itself did not reflect what a chai latte should entail. I recognize this is a new business, but I still want a decent quality of drinks. I do not typically write reviews, but I feel as if others should know what to expect — a matchaless drink that is milk in a cup and a joke of a “chai” latte that is all but diluted to the point where the spices are nonexistent. Attached on the left is the matcha, and as a reference photo, on the right, I have included what the drink should’ve resembled. In the end, the photos speak for themselves.
The new coffee cafe in town of Marlboro is lovely. Matcha latte for me & cappuccino for Kris. Seasonal toast was delicious. Sourdough bread with a spices spread, delicate apples, & honey.
We went on a Saturday morning around 8:45. There were children and adults of all ages present. It could be relaxing at times and high energy at times. There are several different comfortable styles of seating from couch & oversized chairs to bistro tables with cafe chairs to a rounded countertop.
They offer a large hot and cold coffees menu, a few other beverages, & food includes 3 styles of toast, croissants, & a few other baked goods options.
We loved it. They are newly open for just under a week. Try Fermata - local ingredients, local artists!
Their fresh roasted coffee is stellar both on its own and in their unique specials. The "Sage Advice" espresso seltzer special is so perfectly balanced I felt like I was drinking a cocktail. Interior feels both elegant and cozy, and the little details like coat hooks under the countertop make you feel cared for. So excited this spot is in Marlboro!
