Great place to go use wifi
Love this library, friendly stuff member. I’m there almost everyday. I wrote my book there. I even mentioned the library in my book, I thanked them in the book for such quite, clean library
Cold. I use this adjective to describe my experience there on two fronts. First, the a/c was on full blast. Not a bad thing in the summer, but it was more chilly enough to make it unwelcoming. Second, in 45 minutes in the children's area not a soul said hello to my daughter nor to me. I mean you have the Nassau Library Tour going on you would think you'd be friendly to all patrons. Anyway, the kid's section is to the right of the main entrance which is directly across from the main library. Not a fan of the set up because toddlers like to roam and be noisy in their exuberance, so I have to shush Luna more often than I would like. Within, the children's library there was plenty of room to explore, but not many toys nor puzzles. The displays were also pretty bland. In my opinion, today was not a good day for my toddler to visit the Garden City Library.
This quiet oasis is a real gem of a library. There are three levels with a little cyber cafe space downstairs level adjacent to the computer lab. There is also a large children's area as well as for an area for young teens. Study carralls were available and I found the staff to be friendly and approachable. There is also a book sale area as they receive many book donations.
