Beautiful State Park along the South shore. Expansive area with large picnic areas with tables and grills. Basketball courts. Nice place to take a walk along the beach.

    Plenty of free parking.

It's a very beautiful Park, amazing people that works. There are very friendly, kind and helpful .. there are so many different type of sports going on there. I went there for soccer and I loved it ... The employees drive around with golf cart and give you ride to help you which was amazing. The kids love the ride...

Great spot for sunsets most the year (can't see the sun from most the South Shore in the summer months).
Multiple fields for different vibes. The sand is minimal - more of a rocky beach. There's also great walking trails in the fields and around the beaches and the make shift lake. Great spot also to drive your car in the winter and be close enough to the water to see the sunset without having to freeze.

This state park is absolutely beautiful and has so much to offer. It’s huge, so no matter how many times I’ve been here, I always find something new to explore. There are multiple playgrounds spread throughout the park, which makes it a great spot for families with kids. The grounds are well-kept, and everything feels safe and open.

One of the best parts is that it’s free after 4pm on weekdays and after 6pm on weekends, which makes it really easy to stop by even for a short evening visit. It’s such a nice way to spend some time outdoors without worrying about rushing.

There’s a ton to do, whether you want to take a walk, ride bikes, enjoy a picnic, or just relax and soak in nature. I always see deer when I go, which makes the experience feel extra special. The wildlife here really adds to the peaceful atmosphere.

Overall, this park is one of the nicest places around. Between the size, the variety of activities, and the natural beauty, it’s definitely worth visiting again and again.

Have been coming to this park for over 40 years. Good place to watch the sunset. Wonderful place to bike ride with or without children. Plenty of playgrounds for children to play on. So many places to walk and explore or camp. Love walking along the beach feet in the water. An ok place to swim.
