On May 5 , 2013 , I had a heart attack in my home around 7 pm in the evening. My wife called 911 and the Holbrook Volunteer Fire Dept . responded in less than 5 minutes. They immediately gave me nitro-gliseren and tried to make me swallow some aspirin tabs. I could not move my jaw, as it locked up on me . They smashed the aspirin and some how got down my throat and I finally swallowed the aspirin . My wife told me ,in less that 15 mins after getting me in the ambulance , they had me in Stonybrook Hospital Emergency room . I was very quickly taken into the operating room with 100% of my Right Contrary Artery blocked . The heart surgeon put a stent in the Artery and stop possible Cardiac Arrest. IF not for the quick action of the men and women of the Holbrook Fire Department, I would not be here today . They saved my life that day and I am eternally grateful. There is nothing more to say . These people are life savors and God’s angels . God bless them all .
